(Eagle News)—Rains are expected in some parts of the country as Typhoon “Jebi” is forecast to enhance the southwest monsoon. PAGASA: Typhoon “Jebi” may enter PAR on Sunday night but “no significant enhancement” of southwest monsoon expected

(Eagle News)—-Another typhoon may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday, Sept. 2, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. PAGASA said, however, that “Jebi,” whose eye was seen 1815 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon as of 11 a.m.,  poses no direct threat to any part of the country. It said “no significant enhancement of the southwest monsoon” was also expected. “Jebi” may exit PAR on Monday morning.

Amid rains, water levels in three major dams in Luzon rise

(Eagle News) — The water levels in three major dams in Luzon have risen as a result of the rains in the past few days, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. Orange rainfall warning hoisted over Zambales

(Eagle News)–An orange rainfall warning has been hoisted over Zambales, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Monday, Aug. 20. PAGASA said a yellow rainfall warning, on the other hand, is up over Bataan. Light to moderate rains with occasional heavy rains are currently affecting Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac , Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Cavite and Batangas. The state weather bureau said these may persist for  two to three hours.
