(Eagle News) — Classes and government work in Pasay are suspended on Dec. 2. In a statement, the Pasay government said the class suspension applies to all levels in public and private schools. Those in the government’s health services and response units for disasters, however, are not covered by the suspension. The Pasay government said the class and work suspensions were to pave the way for celebrations for the city’s 156th foundation day.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said at least 21 people have been killed in the two earthquakes.

DepEd Memorandum No. 154 signed by Education Secretary Leonor Briones said the suspension is from the kindergarten level to Grade 12. #WalangPasok: Classes for college, graduate students in Manila suspended on Monday, Sept. 30

(Eagle News)–Mayor Isko Moreno has suspended classes on Monday, Sept. 30, for college students in Manila. The city government said the suspension, which also applies to graduate students, covers public and private schools. This is due to the scheduled nationwide transport strike to be held by several transport organizations to oppose the government’s PUV modernization program. “However, classes from pre-school to senior high school will continue,” the city government said.
