Naga airport sustains heavy damage due to “Rolly”

(Eagle News)–The Naga airport sustained heavy damage as a result of “Rolly,” the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines reported. According to CAAP, seriously damaged were the Passenger Terminal Building, fire station building, administration building, and the vehicular parking area. CAAP said most of the damage was in the form of dismantled ceilings, blown away roofing, and dismantled window panels. (Eagle News)–This mugshot released by the Police Regional Office 5 shows Bureau of Corrections chief Nicanor Faeldon’s son, Nicanor Faeldon Jr., who was nabbed from a suspected drug den in Naga on Friday, Dec. 14. Apart from the younger Faeldon, also arrested were at least three other people, including his girlfriend. The BuCor chief has vowed to step down if his son is proven to have links to drugs.

Duterte visits victims of landslide in Naga City, Cebu

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday, Sept. 21, visited the victims of a landslide in Naga City, Cebu. The President was accompanied by Department of the Interior and Local Government officer in charge Eduardo Año, Special Assistant to the President Bong Go, Office of the Civil Defense Deputy  Administrator Nicanor Faeldon, among others. Operations to rescue possible survivors continue.

Duterte to visit victims of landslide in Cebu

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday, Sept. 21, will visit Naga, Cebu, where a landslide has claimed over 20 lives, and where dozens are still missing. After his visit to the area, Duterte will proceed to  the Asia Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE) 3rd Inflamatory Bowel Disease Clinical Forum, where he will serve as keynote speaker. He will then proceed to Cagayan de Oro, where he will visit wounded soldiers.  

At least three people confirmed dead in landslide in Cebu

(Eagle News) — At least three people were confirmed dead after a landslide buried several houses in Naga City in Cebu on Thursday, Sept. 20. Chief Inspector Roderick Gonzales of the Naga Philippine National Police said in an interview over radio dzbb that 20 to 25 houses were affected in Tinaan.
