Commuters to get free MRT-3 rides on Rizal Day

(Eagle News)—Commuters can expect free Metro Rail Transit 3 rides on Sunday, Dec. 30. In a Twitter post, the MRT-3 management said the free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on that day were to  mark the 122nd death anniversary of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, or Rizal Day. Around 900 passengers unloaded after MRT-3 train suffers glitch anew

(Eagle News) — Around 900 passengers were unloaded from a Metro Rail Transit-3 train on Wednesday morning. The Department of Transportation said the passengers had to be dropped off at the Guadalupe Station at 8:40 a.m. It said this was after the train encountered an electrical failure, among others. Some 500,000 use the MRT-3 every day.
