PAGASA monitoring another tropical cyclone outside PAR

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring another tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. According to PAGASA, the tropical cyclone is so far located 1570 km east of Mindanao and may enter PAR by late Monday or early Tuesday. Another typhoon after ‘Meranti’ is ‘Malakas’

MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — The next named storm in the western Pacific would be Malakas. It is forecast to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) later tonight. Moving west northwest, it will follow pretty much the same track as ferdie or meranti, passing north of Luzon over the Batanes area. There is a possibility that it will also reach super typhoon status as it passes in the north.
