(Eagle News)–“Amang” has weakened into a low pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. LPA enters Philippine area of responsibility

(Eagle News)—A low pressure area has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA entered PAR at 10 a.m. PAGASA said it would issue a weather advisory at noon for more details.

PCG: More than 3000 stranded in ports across the country due to the bad weather

(Eagle News)—More than 3000 passengers are stranded in ports across the country due to the bad weather, the Philippine Coast Guard said. According to the PCG, the 3678 passengers are scattered in 15 ports. Over 300, or 356 rolling cargoes, 28 vessels, and seven motorbancas have also been prevented from traveling. “Tomas” weakens into low pressure area

(Eagle News) — Tropical Depression “Tomas” has weakened into a low pressure area. But the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said sea travel remains risky over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon. “Tomas” said this was due to “rough to very rough seas associated with the ongoing surge of the northeast monsoon.” As of 2 a.m.,  the center of “Tomas” was located 1,050 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes.
