Ormoc City placed under state of calamity

ORMOC CITY, Leyte (Eagle News) – The entire Ormoc City  has been placed under a state of calamity after properties were damaged by a series of earthquakes in the Visayas last week. Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez has also decided to suspend classes in all schools because of aftershocks. Cebu Pacific cancels flights to Cebu and Ormoc after quake damages airport

Island-wide blackout experienced in Samar, Bohol and Leyte due to quake

(Eagle News) — The islands of Samar and Bohol as well as the southern part and some areas in the northern part of Leyte are suffering from island-wide power outage in the aftermath of the magnitude-6.5 earthquake.
