SWS: Self-rated poverty up four points from rate in June

The Third Quarter 2018 Social Weather Survey found that 84 percent of Filipinos felt that way,  6 points above the 78% in March 2018. This was, however,  below the record-high 86% in September 2016. 7 Filipinos among 12 crew members kidnapped by pirates off the coast of Nigeria

  (Eagle News) — Twelve crew members of a Swiss cargo vessel, including seven Filipino members, were kidnapped by pirates off the coast of Nigeria on Saturday.
