(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed two new commissioners to the Energy Regulatory Commission. Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced the appointment of Floresinda Baldo-Digal and Marko Romeo Fuentes to the body on Monday, July 20. Baldo-Digal, who was ERC spokesperson prior to her appointment, replaces Josefina Patricia A. Magpale-Asirit. Her term will expire on July 10, 2027. Refund of P1.08 B due to miscalculations in electric rates, ordered returned to Meralco customers

Duterte makes new appointments in ERC, NYC

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has made new appointments in the National Youth Commission and the Energy Regulatory Commission. Duterte signed the appointment of Ronald Gian Cardema as chair of the NYC on Aug. 23. He also appointed lawyer Alexis Lumbatan as ERC member. Lumbatan replaces Gloria Victoria Taruc, who retired on July 10. Lumbatan’s term will end in July 2025.
