3.7-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Thursday, Oct. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 60 kilometers northeast of Burgos at 8:25 p.m. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.9-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental on Monday night. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 46 kilometers southeast of Caraga at 11:34 p.m. Depth of focus was 11 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.8-magnitude quake hits Cotabato

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato on Monday, Oct. 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that hit the province on Oct. 16, hit 10 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 6:21 a.m. Depth of focus  was 38 kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was recorded: Instrumental Intensity: Intensity I- Koronadal City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Aftershocks continue in Cotabato days after 6.3-magnitude quake

(Eagle News)–Aftershocks continued in Cotabato following a 6.3-magnitude earthquake there on Oct. 16. At least ten aftershocks hit the province since early Sunday, Oct. 20, with magnitudes ranging from 3.2 to 1.9. California unveils early warning earthquake app

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 6.3-magnitude one that hit the province on Oct. 16, struck 15 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 1:50 a.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. 4.2-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 126 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos at 9:37 a.m. Depth of focus was 33 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
