(Eagle News)– A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Wednesday, July 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 11:13 p.m., had its epicenter 100 kilometers southeast of Tarragona. Depth of focus was 49 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.0-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental early Tuesday

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Tuesday, July 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:46 a.m., had its epicenter 346 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 43 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.1-magnitude quake hits Ilocos Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Ilocos Sur early Monday, July 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 4:13 a.m., had its epicenter 67 kilometers northeast of Candon. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental early Thursday, July 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 12:32 a.m., had its epicenter 83 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. It had a depth of one kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

DOTr: 24/7 construction of Bicol Int’l Airport to start this month; target completion date of priority facilities set for within the year

In a statement, the Department of Transportation said this was so the government could meet its target completion date of within the year for priority facilities set by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade. (Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Sunday, July 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 4:21 a.m., had its epicenter 23 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 101 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.3-magnitude quake hits Negros Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake hit Negros Occidental today, July 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:17 a.m., had its epicenter 143 kilometers southwest of Sipalay. It had a depth of 30 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.8-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, July 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3 a.m., had its epicenter 157 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 81 kilometers. An instrumental intensity II was recorded in Malungon, Sarangani. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.1-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental early Thursday, July 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:34 a.m., had its epicenter 138 kilometers of Sarangani. It had a depth of 128 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Eastern Samar

(Eagle News)– A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Eastern Samar on Monday, June 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 10:20 a.m., had its epicenter 19 kilometers northeast of San Julian. It had a depth of 15 kilometers. The following intensities were reported: Intensity III – San Julian and Borongan, Eastern Samar Intensity II -Sulat, Eastern Samar No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

PHIVOLCS: Quakes, moderate plume emission monitored at Kanlaon; volcano still on alert level 1

(Eagle News)–Several  earthquakes and moderate plume emission were monitored at Kanlaon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in Monday, June 29. PHIVOLCS said of the earthquakes  at the volcano, which remains on alert level 1, 16 were  volcano-tectonic earthquakes on the western flanks and four volcanic earthquakes in the summit area.
