DOH reports 8,562 more COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines jumped to 1,580,824 after the Department of Health reported 8,562 more COVID-19 cases on Friday, July 30, the highest since May. According to the DOH data, 61,920 cases were active. Of these, 94 percent were mild, 1.2 percent asymptomatic, 1.2 percent critical, 2.1 percent were severe, and 1.49 percent were moderate. (Eagle News) — More residents of Bacoor, Cavite–which initially reported two Delta variant cases–have tested positive for COVID-19. (Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines climbed to 1,572,287 after the Department of Health reported 5,739 additional cases. The DOH said of the total cases, 56273 were active.
