Sumatran tigers infected with coronavirus at Indonesian zoo

Two Sumatran tigers were recovering at a Jakarta zoo after being infected with coronavirus, Indonesian officials said Sunday, as they probed how the critically endangered animals got sick. Nine-year-old Tino and 12-year-old Hari tested positive in mid-July after they experienced flu-like symptoms, trouble breathing and appetite loss. DOH reports 8,562 more COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines jumped to 1,580,824 after the Department of Health reported 8,562 more COVID-19 cases on Friday, July 30, the highest since May. According to the DOH data, 61,920 cases were active. Of these, 94 percent were mild, 1.2 percent asymptomatic, 1.2 percent critical, 2.1 percent were severe, and 1.49 percent were moderate. (Eagle News)– COVID-19 cases in the Philippines climbed to 1562420 after the Department of Health reported 7186 additional cases. This was the most additional cases reported in the country since June 13. Of the total cases, the DOH said 56477 were active. Of these, 93.8 percent were mild, 1.1 percent asymptomatic, 1.3 percent critical, 2.3 percent severe, and 1.58 percent were moderate.
