Iginiit ng ilang Election Watchdog na dapat mag-imprenta ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng resibo na ibibigay sa mga botante, para makaiwas sa posibleng dayaan sa eleksyon sa Mayo, pero tinutulan ito ng poll body. Sa Joint Congressional Oversight Committee on special elections, ito ang bumangong isyu bukod sa inalam ang ginagawang paghahanda ng Comelec para sa halalan sa Mayo.      

COMELEC sets final testing and sealing of vote counting machine

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections sets the final testing and sealing of the vote counting machine on May 2 – May 9. According to the COMELEC resolution, the members of the Board of Election Inspectors should gather in their respective polling places during said dates for the said testing and sealing of the vote counting machines. PNP to assign elite forces in election areas of concern

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Philippine National Police will assign elite forces in places declared by the Commission on Elections as election areas of concern. The PNP added that said Regional Special Operations Task Groups will serve as augmentation for local police forces in Pangasinan, Masbate, Negros Oriental, Western Samar, Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur. Said mock election will test the sending of results thru satellite connection and subscriber identification module or SIM cards. Airtime donations for candidates not allowed

MANILA, Philippines – According to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the donation of airtime of party-lists and national candidates to each other is not allowed, being a violation of the Fair Elections Act and has corresponding penalties.
