PCG Commandant Ursabia promoted to admiral

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has promoted Philippine Coast Guard  Commandant George Ursabia Jr.  to admiral. Ursabia, who was vice admiral before the promotion, now has the highest rank of a PCG commissioned officer with the approval based on the recommendation of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade. Duterte appoints new Coast Guard commandant

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Coast Guard will have a new commandant. President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Deputy Commandant for Administration Vice Admiral Joel Sarsiban Garcia to the post, which will be left vacant by Admiral Elson Hermogino, who is leaving the service. Garcia, who will assume office on Oct. 24, will be the  28th commandant of the Coast Guard.
