COMELEC asks voters to avoid last minute registration

COMELEC may extend working hours

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is studying the possibility of the extending its working hours to accommodate the high number of voters that still have not registered their biometrics information. COMELEC is also planning to add more equipment to accommodate the same. COMELEC to temporarily suspend registration and biometrics validation

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will temporarily suspend the registration of new voters as well as the validation of biometrics of registered voters to give way to the filing of certificate of candidacy of those who plan to run for the 2016 elections. Several malls qualify as voting centers
