Over a thousand people in Singapore crossed the finish line of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) charity walkathon – becoming the second country to conclude the event (after Japan).

In a Radyo Agila report, EBC correspondent Oseisan Laberanto said that the Singapore event numbered over 800 participants from the West Side and 600 from the East Side.

Laberanto said the two groups walked an estimated 1.9 kilometers to the convergence site in Pasir Ris Park. The event, dubbed the “WorldWide Walk” started at 10 am today and finished roughly half an hour later.

Majority of the crowd were Filipinos, although reports said there was quite a number of Singaporeans and a few other foreigners among them.
