Rainfall alert hoisted over N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A rainfall advisory has been hoisted over Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rains are so far being experienced over Pangasinan, particularly in San Nicolas, Natividad, San Quintin, Umingan, Malasiqui, Villasis, Urdaneta, San Fabian and Mabini.

The same conditions are also being experienced in Nueva Viscaya, particularly in Sta. Fe, Villaverde, Bagabag, Solano, Bayombong and Quezon; in Ifugao, specifically in Aguinaldo and Alfonso Lista; in Mt. Province, particularly in Besao and Tadian; and in Apayao, in Calanasan.

PAGASA said the conditions may persist for one to two hours and may affect nearby areas.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” the weather bureau said.

It said residents along mountain slopes are also advised against possible landslides,mudslides, rock slides and flash floods.
