Rainfall alert hoisted over N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A rainfall advisory has been hoisted over Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rains are so far being experienced over La Union, particularly in Tubao, Bagulin, San Gabriel, Sudipen and Bangar;  and in Ilocos Sur, in  Bangar, Sigay, Suyo, Alilem, Santol, Sudipen and Sugpon.

Light to moderate rains, on the other hand, are being experienced in Baguio City and Benguet, particularly in Itogon, La Trinidad, Tuba, Sablan, Kibungan, Kabayan, Kapangan, Bokod, Bakun and Buguias.

PAGASA said these conditions may persist for one to two hours and may affect nearby areas.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” the weather bureau. said.

PAGASA said residents along mountain slopes are advised against possible landslides, mudslides, rock slides and flash floods.
