Rainfall advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao due to LPA

(Eagle News)–A rainfall advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao due to a low pressure area off Surigao del Sur.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over Zamboanga del Sur within one to two hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

These conditions are being experienced in Cagayan, de Oro City, Claveria, Jasaan, Balingasag, Lagonglong, Salay, Binuangan, Sugbongcogon in Misamis Oriental; Picong and Calanogas in Lanao del Sur, Kapatagan, Sultan Naga Dimaporo in Lanao del Norte; Davao City;  Talaingod, Kapalong, Sto. Tomas, SamalIs in Davao del Norte;  Baganga, Caraga, Manay in Davao Oriental; Carmen, Matalam, President Roxas, Matalam in North Cotabato;  Isulan, Esperanza, Bagumbayan, Tacurong in Surigao del Norte; and in Ampatuan, Datu Abdullah Sanki, Sultan Sa Barongis, Gen. S. K. Pendatun in Maguindanao.

“The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition…,” PAGASA said.
