Rainfall advisory hoisted over parts of Apayao, Cagayan, Abra, Kalinga

(Eagle News) — A rainfall advisory has been hoisted over portions of Apayao, Cagayan, Abra and Kalinga.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to occasionally heavy rains are particularly being experienced over Conner and Kabugao in Apayao; and in Abulug, Gonzaga and Santa Ana in Cagayan.

Light to moderate rains are also expected over Bangued, Boliney, Bucloc, Penarrubia and Tubo in Abra;  Flora, Luna, Pudtol and Santa Marcela in Apayao; Allacapan, Amulung, Aparri, Baggao, Ballesteros, Claveria, Lasam, Lallo, Pamplona, Penablanca, Piat, Rizal, Santo Niño, Sanchez Mira, Solana, Tuao and Tuguegarao City in  Cagayan; and in Pinukpuk in Kalinga.

PAGASA said these conditions may persist for one to two hours.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards. Residents along mountain slope are advised for possible landslides and flashfloods,” PAGASA said.
