The weather bureau is closely monitoring a new low pressure area (LPA) off the Pacific Ocean. An earthquake measuring 6.9 magnitudes on Wednesday evening rocked the Malaku provincial capital of Ambon, Indonesia. According to the U.S. Geological survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 111 kilometers southeast of Ambon. The USGS reported that the earthquake hitting at a depth of 33.9 kilometers.
