Lebron James said to sign lifetime contract with Nike

The new lifetime deal inked between Lebron James and Nike is reportedly the first of its kind in the company’s history.

The financial details behind the deal have yet to emerge, but ESPN reports that it is — quote — “the largest single-athlete guarantee” for Nike ever.

Nike and the 11-time NBA all-star first teamed up in 2003 when Lebron was a senior in high school. Since then the two have gone through 13 different signature shoes and hundreds of millions of dollars in sales.

Nike said in a statement that it sees the potential for the relationship to continue growing throughout Lebron’s playing career and beyond. (Eagle News Service)
