At least 50 killed in Afghanistan avalanche

  (Reuters) — Dozens of people in Afghanistan were killed after heavy snow and avalanches hit over the weekend (February 4-5). LTFRB-approved P8 mininum jeepney fare to take effect on February 8

  (Eagle News) – The minimum fare for jeepneys will now be P8, starting Wednesday, February 8. This was after the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced the approval of the one-peso provisional jeepney fare increase. Expect power rate increase this month – Meralco

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Consumers should expect an increase in their electric bills this month due to the crude oil price hike. “Customers can expect even higher rates in coming months,” said Meralco in a statement. According to Meralco Utility Economics Head Lawrence Fernandez, the increase will particularly affect the generation charge.
