At least 50 houses gutted by fire in QC

(Eagle News)–Around 50 houses were gutted by a fire that hit a residential area in Quezon City on Saturday, April 20. Authorities said the blaze struck Barangay Apolonio Samson around 5 a.m. The fire reached the fourth alarm. It was put out at 7:39 a.m. There were no reported casualties.

Three mountaineers presumed dead in Canada avalanche

Montreal, Canada (AFP) — Three world-renowned professional mountaineers — two Austrians and an American — were missing and presumed dead after an avalanche on a western Canadian summit, the country’s national parks agency said Thursday.
