3.6-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News) — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Friday, June 21. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, struck 74 kilometers northeast of Cortes at 4:55 a.m. The depth of focus was 12 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

PAGASA said  Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. Luzon, VIsayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said, will have light to moderate rains and slight to moderate coastal waters.
