Cancelled flights for Friday, Aug. 16

(Eagle News)–Several flights for Friday, Aug. 16, have been cancelled, the Manila International Airport Authority said. According to MIAA, the following flights were cancelled due to “operational reasons.” Qantas QF-019-Sydney-Manila QF-020-Manila-Sydney MIAA said all passengers have been re-accommodated to alternate flights.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Pangasinan

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Pangasinan early Friday, Aug. 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 31 kilometers northwest of Bolinao at 3:35 a.m. Depth of focus was 19 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Thursday, Aug. 15.
