(Eagle News)–The once-waste-ridden Estero de Binondo in Manila is waste-ridden no more. This picture posted on the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission Facebook page shows the clean creek reflecting the skies and buildings, something that seemed impossible with the amount of trash in its waters before. Cleanup efforts were led by the PRRC, along with volunteers.

3.2-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Friday, Aug. 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 15 kilometers northwest of Cagwait at 1:24 p.m. Depth of focus was 120 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Palace: Convicts of heinous crimes released under RA 10592 should be sent back to jail
