Nineteen killed in massive China forest fire

BEIJING, China (AFP) — Eighteen firefighters and one forestry guide died while fighting a huge forest fire in southwestern China, the local government said Tuesday. 3.6-magnitude quake hits N. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Northern Samar today, March 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 8 a.m., had its epicenter 63 kilometers northeast of Laoang. It had a depth of focus of eight kilometers.
