4.0-magnitude earthquake strikes off Occidental Mindoro

(Eagle News) — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Occidental Mindoro on Thursday, March 17. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake, which hit at 8:51 a.m., was an aftershock of the 6.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Lubang on March 14. The epicenter was 120 kilometers northwest of Lubang. The earthquake’s depth of focus, PHIVOLCS said, is 30 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
