Negros Oriental police chief relieved over spate of slays in province

(Eagle News)–Philippine National Police chief Oscar Albayalde has relieved the Negros Oriental police chief over the recent slays in the province.

The PNP confirmed that Negros Oriental Provincial Police Director Colonel Raul Tacaca has been replaced by Police Colonel Angelito Dumangeng.

Dumangeg will serve as  officer-in-charge of the provincial police.

On July 18, policemen were killed reportedly by members of the New People’s Army  in Ayungon, Negros Oriental.

Two days after President Rodrigo Duterte’s visit to the wake of the policemen, unidentified men  shot dead lawyer Anthony Trinidad in Guihulngan.

His wife was injured in the attack.
