(Eagle News) — The provincial government of Misamis Oriental has warned local and foreign tourists against travelling to tourist destinations in the province.
Provincial tourism officer, Yvonne Waga, also discouraged tourists from climbing mountains in the areas affected by continuous operations by the military.
Waga said that this is to ensure the safety and security of the local and foreign visitors.
On February 27 and 28, two soldiers were killed and three others were hurt after the National People’s Army and the military clashed in the town of Upper Kaulayanan, Sugbongcongon.
