Mild 3.6-magnitude quake hits Cotabato

(Eagle News) — A mild 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato early Wednesday, Nov. 6.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 11 kilometers southwest of Makilala at 3:58 a.m.

Depth of focus was 25 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Under the Richter scale, earthquakes ranging from magnitudes 3.0 to 3.9 are felt but rarely cause damage.
