(Eagle News) — Two people, a lawyer and a security guard, were shot dead in Cainta, Rizal, the police said on Friday, June 22.
Police identified the victims as lawyer Joey Galit and Jesus Mateo.
According to the police, Galit was shot by at least four unidentified suspects while he was on board his vehicle, on the way to Apple Village 1, where he lived, on Thursday, June 21.
His wife was unhurt.
Mateo, on the other hand, was also shot when he tried to grab one of the suspects.
Mateo and Galit were rushed to the hospital, but were pronounced dead on arrival.
The police are still conducting follow-up operations.
