Heavy rainfall warning hoisted over parts of Palawan, Occidental Mindoro

(Eagle News) — A heavy rainfall warning has been hoisted over parts of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said an orange rainfall warning is hoisted over the Calamian Group of Islands in Palawan, which means flooding is threatening in low-lying areas and landslides are possible in mountainous areas.

A yellow rainfall warning, on the other hand, is up over Occidental Mindoro, where flooding is possible in low-lying areas and landslides are also possible in mountainous areas.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are so far affecting El Nido, Palawan.

PAGASA said these may continue for two to three hours and may affect nearby areas.
