QUEZON CITY, Philippine (Eagle News) — Police arrested in Calauan, Laguna the most wanted man in Antique — a former leader of the New People’s Army, who had long been on the “wanted” list for killing three mayors in Antique province.
Police arrested 49-year old Winston Gilua on Sunday night in Calauan, Laguna. Gilua is also known for his aliases Waway and Nonoy. He is a resident of Barangay Mabacan, Calauan, Laguna.
Gilua killed three mayors in Antique province, as well as police officers and soldiers when he was still the team leader of the Panay Regional Party Committee of the NPA’s Southern Front Committee.
Gilua was nabbed on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by Antique Regional Trial Court Branch 6.
Gilua has been wanted for the last 12 years, according to the police
