DOLE to open 78,000 job vacancies on Labor Day

(Eagle News) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will open more than 78,000 job vacancies as part of Labor Day celebration on May 1.

Dubbed as “Job and Business Fair 2018”, DOLE will launch the event to honor the Filipino workforce.

“The government will again pay tribute to the productive contributions of the Filipino workers to the unhampered march of our nation to progress under the administration of President Duterte,” said Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III.

DOLE will offer 42,330 local jobs including a total of 5,315 job vacancies in the Philippine government mostly in the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). It will also offer at least 36,345 overseas jobs openings.

The career fair will be set in various sites like Cebu, Pampanga, Baguio, Ilocos Norte, Tarlac, Aurora, Quezon City, and Davao City among others.

Among the jobs available for employment are in the fields of Business Processing Output (BPO), factory work, Customs administration, construction, nursing, food and beverages, housekeeping, sales, and clerical work. Jodi Bustos
