The Cavalcade of Lights is a cool way to say hello to the Winter while being mesmerized with splendid lights, stunning fireworks display and live music, all for free, at Nathan Phillips Square. This event, organized by the City of Toronto attracts approximately 50,000 attendees each year. It is an annual tradition that began nearly 50 years ago in Toronto and is a festival that transforms Nathan Phillips Square into a spectacle of lights, and entertainment even in the midst of the cold weather. This event features a free outdoor skating party led by DJ Fawn Big Canoe and live entertainment and music performed by Charmie Deller, sibling folk singers Matthew and Jill Barber, and Alex Cuba. Lastly, all in attendance watched the most awaited fireworks display after the concert to cap off the night. Torontonians enjoyed every bit of the event even though it was cold and pouring rain.
