5.5-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News) — A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Thursday, May 10, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. PHIVOLCS said the quake hit 5 kilometers southwest of Libjo at 7:57 p.m. An intensity V was felt in Surigao City. An instrumental intensity I, on the other hand, was recorded in Cebu City, Sorsogon City and Bislig City. Aftershocks are expected, PHIVOLCS said.
