DSWD starts distribution of cash assistance to Marawi evacuees

Palace declares June 26 a regular holiday

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Another long weekend is coming up. Malacanang on Friday declared June 26, Monday, as a regular holiday in the country. Proclamation No. 235, signed by President Rodrigo Duterte, said that the declaration was made in observance of Eid’l Fitr, an important Muslim holiday. 4.9-magnitude quake jolts Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News) — A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur, on Friday, June 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake–with a depth of focus pegged at six kilometers– hit Bislig at 9:44 a.m. The earthquake was felt at Intensity IV in Bislig City, and Intensity III in Hinatuan.
