US Embassy, affiliate offices closed this Thursday, Friday

(Eagle News) — The United States Embassy will be closed on Thursday, March 29, and Friday, March 30. In a statement on Tuesday, the embassy said its affiliate offices would also be closed to the public on those days. “The Embassy and affiliate offices will resume regular services on Monday, April 2,” the embassy said. Several Filipinos are expected to flock to the provinces during the long holiday break.

Nograles urges start of implementation of national ID system next year

MMDA suspends number-coding scheme on Wednesday, March 28

(Eagle News) — The number-coding scheme  will be lifted on Wednesday, March 28. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority  said the suspension will be effective starting 10 a.m. The MMDA made the announcement after it said the number-coding scheme for city and provincial buses was suspended on Wednesday, March 28; and Monday, April 2. Motorists are expected to go on vacation during the long holiday break.
