(Eagle News)–The Metro Rail Transit 3 will resume operations on Tuesday, April 23. (Eagle News)–The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has suspended the number-coding scheme for public utility vehicles on Tuesday, April 23. MIAA: NAIA runways safe for landing, take-off following 6.1-magnitude quake

(Eagle News)–It’s business as usual at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport following a 6.1-magnitude earthquake that struck Zambales on Monday, April 22, and that was felt in parts of the country, airport authorities said. Manila International Airport Authority general manager Ed Monreal said the NAIA runways were “safe for landing and take-off.” “Terminal facilities are functioning with no reports of downtime,” he said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said a 5.7-magnitude quake hit Zambales at 5:11 p.m. An Intensity V was felt in San Felipe, Zambales and in Quezon City, PHIVOLCS said.

At least 50 houses gutted by fire in QC

(Eagle News)–Around 50 houses were gutted by a fire that hit a residential area in Quezon City on Saturday, April 20. Authorities said the blaze struck Barangay Apolonio Samson around 5 a.m. The fire reached the fourth alarm. It was put out at 7:39 a.m. There were no reported casualties.

The project, which once completed will cut short to  40 minutes the commute from Antipolo, Rizal to Recto, Manila, has entered its final phase. The DOTr said the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

PNR train ops suspended from April 18 to 20

(Eagle News)–The operations of Philippine National Railways trains are suspended from April 18 to 20. The Department of Transportation said the train bound for Calamba, Laguna and the last trip bound for Alabang are cancelled on Wednesday, April 17. MMDA targeting closure of all bus terminals on Edsa mid-May

(Eagle News)—-The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is targeting the closure of all bus terminals on Edsa mid-May.
