3.5-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur
(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 29 kilometers northeast of Bayabas at 6:12 a.m. The depth of focus of the quake was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
