3.9-magnitude quake hits Lanao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Lanao del Sur on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 3 kilometers northwest of Wao at 12:42 p.m. Depth of focus of the quake was one kilometer. An intensity III was felt in Kalilangan, Bukidnon, while an instrumental intensity I was experienced in Cagayan de Oro City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

DOH upholds FDA revocation of Dengvaxia certificate of registration, says manufacturer Sanofi can reapply

(Eagle News)–The Department of Health has upheld the Food and Drug Administration’s revocation of the Certificate of Product Registration of dengue vaccine Dengvaxia, but noted manufacturer Sanofi Pasteur may reapply.
