Senate approves measure postponing May 2020 barangay polls

(Eagle News)–The Senate has approved on final reading a measure that would postpone the May 2020 barangay elections. Twenty-one senators voted to approve the measure, which seeks to move the barangay polls to December 2022 instead. (Eagle News)–The Palace on Monday, Sept. 30, expressed support for Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon’s proposal to have the passport of Guia Gomez Castro cancelled. Mocha Uson named OWWA deputy executive director

(Eagle News)–Former Palace communications official Mocha Uson has been appointed to another government post. Based on a list of appointees released by the Palace to the media, Uson was appointed Deputy Executive Director of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration by President Rodrigo Duterte.
