(Eagle News)–Inflation eased further to 0.8 percent in October, the lowest recorded since May 2016. The Philippine Statistics Authority said the October rating was lower than the 0.9 percent recorded in September, and the one recorded in October 2018 or 6.7 percent. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said at least 21 people have been killed in the two earthquakes.
(Eagle News) — Some products of Mekeni Food Corp. have tested positive for African Swine Flue. This was confirmed by the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Animal Industry on Monday, Nov. 4. According to the BAI, those that tested positive were the Pampanga-based company’s skinless longganisa and Picnic hotdog. In October, Mekeni recalled its pork-based products.
