“Mario” becomes stronger

“Mario” gains strength and speed. According to PAGASA, “Mario” was last spotted 670 km east of Catarman, northern Samar. The storm has 55kph winds and is mowing northwest at the speed of 28kph. Eastern Visayas, Caraga and some parts of Mindanao will experience rain. If the storm does not change direction, there’s a possibility that “Mario” will not be making a landfall and instead will head to southern Japan.

NBI closes investigation on NFA

The National Bureau of Investigation has finished its fact-finding mission regarding the alleged corrupt acts of officials of the National Food Authority.
