Authorities nab former Air Force member for illegal drug possession, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition

LIPA CITY, Batangas (Eagle News) – A former member of the Philippine Air Force was arrested after authorities recovered suspected shabu, among others, from his house in Batangas on Wednesday, June 13.

The suspect was identified as Avelino Bautista.

According to the authorities, apart from the two sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia, a blank bullet from an M-16, a caliber 45 gun with seven bullets, among others, were found in Bautista’s house in St. Joseph Subdivision in Barangay Tambo at 10:20 pm.

The house, the authorities said, was the subject of a search warrant.

The suspect is now facing charges for  violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

He is detained in the Lipa City custodial facility. Ghadzs Rodelas
