3.6-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Friday, July 19.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude earthquake on July 13, hit 6 kilometers southwest of Carrascal at 1:40 a.m.

The following intensities were recorded:

Intensity III – Carrascal, Lanuza, and Carmen, Surigao Del Sur
Intensity II – Claver, Surigao Del Norte

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
