Power supply in Davao still normal after 6.4 magnitude quake

(Eagle News) — The power transmission services in Davao remain normal despite the 6.4 magnitude quake on Saturday, Sept. 8, that hit the province, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

The power lines affected by the quake are the Nabunturan-Asuncion 69KV line and Bislig-Bagangga 69KV line in Davao Oriental which are experiencing three to five minute power outages.

But NGCP Southern Mindanao Regional Communications and Public Affairs Officer Mike Ligalig assured that the over-all power supply in Davao remains normal.

The epicenter of the quake was recorded in the town of Manay, Davao Oriental; the quake was also felt in nearby towns.

Aside from a landslide in the town of Manay, no casualties and serious damages have been reported when the quake shook parts of southern Mindanao on Saturday.
